Spirit Weaver

Within this painting I explore the journey of a human spirit and the interconnectedness of all life. A Gaia-like goddess represents a creator weaving the web of life. At the same time she is a personification of earth itself - the embodiment of an enigmatic essential essence breathing life into being.

The spiritual theme also echoes my interest in ecology and the environment. Within this concept lie metaphors for biodiversity, metamorphosis and evolution.
